Houston's Local Paver Walkway Installers

Most of the calls we get about paver walkways aren’t from people building a brand new home. They’re from people who’ve been staring at the same problem for a couple of years. A cracked concrete walk to the front door. A muddy strip on the side of the house where the builder didn’t include a walkway. A walkway the previous homeowner installed that looks like it doesn’t belong with the house. An HOA letter about a damaged front walk that needs to be addressed before resale.

That’s what we do. B&B Turf Pros has been building paver walkways for Houston-area homeowners since 2015. Pearland, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Sienna, Manvel, Friendswood, League City, and the surrounding SW Houston suburbs.

A walkway sounds like a small project, but it’s the first thing every guest, neighbor, and prospective buyer sees when they pull up to your house. We treat it that way.

Which Type of Walkway Do You Need?

Walkway buyers usually fall into one of five buckets. Tell us which one you are at your estimate and we’ll go from there.

Front Entry Walkway Replacement

The walkway from your driveway or street to your front door. Most common request we get. Driven by cracked concrete, HOA compliance, resale prep, or just being tired of looking at it. These directly impact curb appeal and home value, so we treat them as the most visible work we do.

Side Yard Walkway Installation

The walkway running along the side of your house. Solves the “muddy strip next to the house” problem common in newer construction where the builder didn’t include a side walk, and in older homes where the original side walk has failed.

Backyard Garden or Connector Paths

Walkways through your backyard, around landscape beds, or connecting features like patios, pool decks, and outdoor kitchens. Usually curved, lower foot traffic, more about visual flow than utility.

Walkway Repair or Section Replacement

When the walkway you’ve got is mostly fine but specific sections have failed. Sunken pavers, washed-out polymeric sand, spreading edges, cracked individual pavers. We fix what needs fixing without replacing the whole thing.

Full Walkway Replacement

When the existing walkway (concrete, brick, or pavers) is past saving. We tear it out and rebuild from the subgrade up.

Paver Walkway Pricing

How Much Does A Paver Walkway Cost In Houston?

A paver walkway is one of the higher-ROI home improvements you can make. Smaller project than a patio and the curb appeal lift is immediate.

Paver Walkways Starting At

$2,000

Final price depends on length, material, and any demo work

What Affects Your Walkway Price

Linear Footage

Longer walkways cost more. Most residential walkways are 20 to 50 linear feet.

Paver Material

Concrete pavers are the most affordable. Brick and natural stone cost more.

Demo Of Existing Walkway

Tearing out an old concrete walk or brick path adds to project cost.

Matching Existing Surfaces

Matching pavers to your driveway, patio, or pool deck may affect material cost.

Pattern Complexity

Herringbone, basket weave, and curved layouts take more labor than running bond.

HOA Requirements

Front-yard walkways often require specific HOA-approved materials.

How we quote: One price for the whole walkway. No hidden fees, no add-on charges. A 50% deposit secures your install date, with the other 50% due at completion.

Paver Materials We Install In Houston

We install every major paver material across Houston. Tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll show you samples at your on-site estimate.

Brick Pavers

Classic look, traditional appeal, premium material. Best for older homes and traditional neighborhoods (River Oaks, West U, parts of Pearland and Bellaire).

Concrete Pavers (Belgard, Pavestone, Techo-Bloc).

Most popular option in SW Houston. Hundreds of color and pattern combinations. Best price-to-durability ratio for most homeowners.

Natural Stone Pavers (flagstone, travertine, limestone)

Premium custom look. Best for high-end homes and custom landscape designs in Sienna, Riverstone, and similar communities.

Permeable Pavers

Allow water to drain through joints, useful for properties with drainage concerns or HOA stormwater requirements.

Paver Walkway Repair in Houston, TX

Not every walkway needs to be torn out. A lot of the walkway calls we get are for repairs on installs done by other contractors that have started failing.

The common failures we see in Houston paver walkways:

Sunken or Settled Sections

Usually caused by inadequate base depth or improper compaction during the original install. We lift the affected pavers, rebuild the base underneath, and reset them at proper grade.

Spreading or Shifting Pavers

When edge restraints fail or were skipped entirely, the pavers spread outward and the walkway loses shape. We replace the restraints and reset the perimeter.

Washed-Out Polymeric Sand

The joints between pavers should have polymeric sand sealing them. When the cheap stuff was used or never reapplied, sand washes out during heavy rain, weeds take over, and the walkway looks neglected. We re-sand and seal.

Cracked or Stained Pavers

Individual paver replacement when the rest of the walkway is structurally fine. Color matching depends on whether your original pavers are still in production.

Total Base Failure

When the original base wasn't done right and the entire walkway is failing, no surface repair will hold. We tear it out and rebuild from the ground up.

Our Paver Walkway Installation Process

We’ve made the booking process as straightforward as we can. Here’s exactly what happens after you reach out:

Walkways are smaller projects than patios, which means a faster process from first call to install. Here’s how it goes.

Step 1: You Reach Out

Call or send a message. Tell us your zip code, what kind of walkway you're looking at (front, side, garden, repair), and a sentence or two about the project. Photos help.

Step 2: We Confirm Service Area and Give You a Ballpark

Quick check that you're in our service area, plus a rough idea of what a walkway like yours typically runs. No reason to schedule a visit if we're not the right fit.

Step 3: Free On-Site Estimate

We come to your house, measure the walkway area, look at materials, ask about HOA requirements and any drainage issues, and walk through layout options.

Step 4: We Put Together Your Quote

After the visit, we put together your walkway quote. One price for the whole job, including demo of existing concrete or pavers if applicable.

Step 5: We Follow Up

We'll check in with a simple follow-up to see if you have questions or need anything clarified.

Step 6: Schedule With a 50% Deposit

A 50% deposit is required to get on our schedule. The other 50% is due at completion.

Step 7: We Build Your Walkway

We'll walk you through what to expect during the install, including how we handle Houston weather days when they come up.

Houston Paver Walkway FAQs

Paver walkways with B&B Turf Pros start at $2,000 and scale up based on linear footage, paver material, pattern complexity, and whether existing concrete or pavers need to be removed first. The biggest cost drivers for walkways are length and demo of any existing surface. We give you one price for the whole project at your free on-site estimate.

For most Houston homeowners staying in their home long-term, yes. Concrete walkways crack in Houston's clay soil within a few years and can only be repaired with visible patches. Paver walkways move with the soil and last 15 to 20+ years. Pavers also lift curb appeal and home value more than concrete. If you're selling soon, concrete may make more financial sense. For everyone else, pavers win the long game.

Only if the install cuts corners on base prep. Houston's clay soil expands when wet and contracts when dry, and cheap walkway installs fail under that movement. A walkway built for Houston conditions handles the soil because the pavers move independently. The keys are proper base depth, geotextile fabric to prevent base migration, full perimeter edge restraints, and quality polymeric sand. We don't skip any of those.

In most cases, yes. If your existing pavers are from a major brand (Belgard, Pavestone, Techo-Bloc) and still in production, we can source the same paver. For discontinued pavers, we can recommend visually compatible options that still tie everything together. Bring photos to your estimate.

Yes. A 50% deposit is required to get on our schedule. The other 50% is due at completion. This locks in materials, scheduling, and crew availability for your project.

Cash, check, debit, all major credit cards, and ACH. Card payments have a 2.9% processing fee. ACH has a $5.00 flat fee.

Yes. Front walkways often need HOA approval because they're visible from the street. B&B Turf Pros handles ARC submissions across Pearland, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Sienna, Riverstone, Shadow Creek Ranch, First Colony, Telfair, and Aliana. We provide spec sheets, material samples, photos, and dimensioned drawings for your packet.

Yes. Demo and haul-away of existing concrete, brick, or pavers is part of your project price. We don't sub it out, our crew handles removal start to finish.

Yes. Paver walkways are rated for far more foot traffic than they'll ever see in residential use. The base specs we install (compacted crushed limestone, geotextile fabric, edge restraints) are the same specs used for commercial paver installs. Residential walkways have a comfortable safety margin.

Properly installed paver walkways don't crack like concrete because each paver moves independently with the soil. Some minor settling can happen as the base fully consolidates, which is normal. If anything shifts outside of normal tolerance during the 2-year workmanship warranty, we come back and fix it at no charge.

Yes. We design clean transitions between pavers and existing concrete surfaces with proper expansion joints so the two surfaces can move independently without damaging each other.

Yes. B&B Turf Pros is a full landscaping company. Sod, mulch beds, edging, plant installation, and lighting can all be quoted alongside your walkway. Bundling the work usually saves on coordination.
