Concrete Pavers Rated for Driveway Use
The most popular choice for SW Houston. Thicker than patio or walkway pavers (typically 60mm or thicker) with higher compression ratings. Available from Belgard, Pavestone, Techo-Bloc, and other major brands. Hundreds of color and pattern options.
Brick Pavers
Classic look for traditional homes. Some brick pavers are rated for driveway use, others aren’t. We only install driveway-rated brick, never standard walkway brick.
Permeable Pavers
Designed to let water drain through the joints instead of running off. Useful for properties with drainage concerns or HOAs with stormwater requirements. Costs more than standard pavers but a strong choice for driveways in areas prone to standing water.

Yes, paver extensions integrate cleanly with existing concrete driveways when installed correctly. We design clean transitions between the new paver section and your existing concrete with proper expansion joints so the two surfaces move independently without damaging each other. The visual transition is intentional and complementary rather than looking like a patch job.
Driveway-rated pavers are engineered to hold up under significantly more weight than a residential vehicle will ever put on them. We use pavers specifically rated for driveway use (thicker and higher compression than patio or walkway pavers) with deeper base depth and reinforced edge restraints. Shortcut installs using walkway specs on driveway work fail. We don't cut corners on driveway installs.
Most SW Houston HOAs approve paver driveway extensions with proper ARC submission. Pavers are typically approved faster than concrete extensions because HOAs consider them a hardscape upgrade rather than a slab addition. Spec sheets, material samples, photos, and dimensioned drawings all get provided for your packet.

Properly installed paver driveway extensions don't crack like concrete because each paver moves independently with the soil. Some minor settling can happen as the base consolidates, which is normal. Anything shifting outside of normal tolerance during the warranty period gets fixed at no charge.
Yes, demo and haul-off of existing concrete, grass, or landscaping is included in your project price. Not added on later.
Paver stains happen the same way concrete stains happen, but pavers have a repair advantage concrete doesn't. You can replace the individual stained paver instead of living with the stain. Sealing options that reduce stain absorption are available for driveways where staining is a concern.
Every driveway extension we install is graded to drain water away from your house and integrate with your existing driveway drainage. If your driveway currently has drainage problems, we can address them as part of the project.
